| During Japanese colonization, the grandfather and father of the workshop owner, Yiu Yu-Show, began picking raw rhodonite for Japanese as the materials for belt buckles and seals. 20 years later, Ms. Yiu took over the work of her forefathers and began a career on stone craft with her husband, working on creating art pieces and mechanic processing. Now the workshop also offers classes on stone processing and do-it-yourself activities so that more people can get to know this beautiful Truku craft. |
